The tune for Happy Birthday originated in Kentucky in 1868.
It is the same tune of a jingle a kindergarten teacher sung to her morning class which goes:
Good morning to you
Good morning to you
Good morning, dear children
Good morning to all
In 1924, the tune was used for the Happy Birthday song and appeared in a song book edited by Robert H. Coleman
